Official League Rules

2026 RFF League Rules

League rules, roster requirements, waivers, playoffs, promotion and relegation, and payouts.

Entry Fee

  • $60 per team.

Rosters

  • 13 player roster limit.
  • Starting Roster: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K.
  • No more than 5 players at a position.
    • Example: 1 QB, 4 RB's, 5 WR's, 1 TE, 1 D/ST, 1 K.
    • Example: 2 QB's, 3 RB's, 3 WR's, 2 TE, 2 D/ST, 1 K.
  • Required to have at least 1 player rostered at each position and all starting lineup spots filled.

Waivers

  • Each owner will have a $100 Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) to bid on Free Agent players during waiver periods.
  • Once a waiver period has ended, Free Agent players can be added at any time prior to their team's kickoff.
  • Waiver Periods
    • Weekly Waiver Period: Players will be locked upon the start of their team's week game until Wednesday at 2am. If a player is not bid on or acquired during this period they become available to be added at any time.
    • Dropped Player Waiver Period: If a player is dropped by an owner, this player is eligible to be bid on by all owners for 48 hours (dropped at 8pm on Thursday, waiver period is 8pm Thursday - 8pm Saturday). If no one bids or acquires this player during this 48 hour period they become available to be added at any time.

Trade Deadline

  • Trade deadline is when the final game of week 13 is finished (end of regular season). For the 2026 season this would be when Dallas at Seattle goes final on December 7, 2026.

Playoffs

  • The top three teams from each division will make the playoffs, based on their divisional record, with standings tiebreaker being total points scored.
  • The top three scoring teams, from any division, that do not qualify for the playoffs based on their division record, will qualify for the last three playoff spots. These are the wild card spots.
  • The top three teams based on record by division plus the 3 wild card teams create the 12 team playoff.
  • There are four first round byes. Each league champion with the fourth being the next best record and points being tie breaker. Wild card teams do not qualify for a bye.
  • Seeding in the playoffs is based on record with points being tiebreaker.
    • The 1-4 seeds will receive a first round bye.
    • For the first round of the playoffs, the 5th seed will get to “draft” his opponent before the start of the playoff games.
    • Draft order will be based on seed. If a seed has already been chosen, they lose their ability to draft their opponent. The pick then goes to the next highest seed.
    • 3 wild card teams are automatically the last three seeds ordered by points.
  • A draft will then be conducted after each round of the playoffs, in which the highest remaining seed will begin the draft by choosing their opponent.
  • Example based on 2025 season:
    • First round byes: Mike, Darren, Seth, and Randy.
    • Seeding for first round: 5-Jordan, 6-Dan, 7-Dennis, 8-Joe, 9-Bryce, 10-Dalton, 11-Parker, 12-Jon.
